Role overview

We are searching for an eager and ambitious Operation Associate to support the Chief of Staff in building up critical operational business tasks mainly related to the companies finance and HR functions…as a start. This role is suitable for generalists who are detail oriented, comfortable with numbers and not easily overwhelmed by multitasking several projects simultaneously. You will have plenty of independence and responsibility to ensure processes get to a point of ‘good enough’ and iteratively improve them continuously.

Key responsibilities

Work directly with the Chief of Staff and case by case have close collaboration with the rest of the leadership team.

Financial Support: Support financial and operational tasks and streamline processes like invoicing, expensing and company payments working closely with the company accountants. Support the CoS for example in producing investor reports, overseeing the company budget and preparing essential materials like pitch decks.

Project Management: Support important projects under the CoS’s guidance. Exercise initiative through flagging improvement areas across the company.

HR & Legal: Work with the CoS and CEO to ensure business & legal needs are met. Support in payroll, creating policies, procedures and templates that are up to date and in line with collective agreements and local laws. Help in identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities as well as bringing insights and recommendations in order to improve organization and overall employee experience.

Your profile

• A degree in Finance, Operations, Business or equivalent, Masters preferred.
• 1-3 years of working experience, related experience in a start-up environment, consultancy or similar.
• You have a proactive and growth-oriented mindset while also being a structured thinker; you can break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work.
• Collaborative with a high degree of ownership working style with strong communication-skills and experience working in teams under pressure.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and bring structure when needed across multiple projects in parallel.
• Fluent English, German or other Nordic Language is a plus.
• You want to get your hands dirty and learn what goes on behind the curtain of building a startup.
